What's your white rabbit?

My friend Chandan called me yesterday and told me the challenges he faces after he was fired from his job. He was doing well in customer support but laid off in the company's restructuring exercise. Now, he is not getting any calls and hence was quite depressed. I explained to him about so many career choices available these days. Those like video editors, YouTubers, internet marketers, and so, asked him to pick some new skills on the technical and mindset front. He didn't seem excited and went on ranting about all the problems in life, blaming his parents and everyone around him. I just kept quiet, listened to him, and finally said, "do let me know if I can be of help".  This incident reminded me of the man's lovely story in a remote town. I love it because it's the story of your life. And mine. And everyone else's. It seems the man was an honest, hard-working who never hurt a fly.  Pleased with his excellent work, a fairy magically appeared before him an...

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗛𝗬, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗔𝗬!

John Maxwell says "𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗛𝗬, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗔𝗬". There are very few leaders, products, or companies that create movements. Very few leaders that inspire loyalty, not just a single transaction. Very few leaders motivate their followers and employees to stick with them through thick or thin. Think of leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. Or companies like Apple, Southwest Airlines, or Harley Davidson. These leaders and companies started movements. They have incredibly loyal followers and customers. What is it that separates them from the rest? It’s that these leaders, products, and companies start with WHY. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 "𝗪𝗔𝗬", 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 "𝗪𝗛𝗬".  Saturday 9 PM, you have the opportunity to learn the importance of "Why" by Bijay K, one of the three Independent Exec...

Can Only Money Make You Happy?

"𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲. We generally improve ourselves for one of two reasons: inspiration or desperation. If we're taking responsibility for self-improvement and showing people how to reach for more meaningful, better lives, our trigger is an inspiration. If we are waiting for any external triggers, our trigger is desperation.  𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿?  What we become is far more critical than what we have. Most of what we have today, we have attracted by becoming the person we are right now.  Income rarely exceeds personal development. Sometimes income takes a lucky jump, but unle...

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 un𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 people need to 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 public speaking 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀?

And it worked for her for the first five years of her career till the time she was an individual contributor. She called me last week and said, "You are already a talented communicator; why do you still learn public speaking skills." I laughed and asked her why she is asking so. She said, "I am frustrated with my career these days. Neither my boss understands my situation nor my team works as per plan. You said in one of your sessions that improving "crucial conversations can help. But why would a talented person like me need to learn dialogue skills".  I quoted Kerry, "It's the most talented, not the least talented, who are continually trying to improve their dialogue skills. ...
