What's your white rabbit?

My friend Chandan called me yesterday and told me the challenges he faces after he was fired from his job. He was doing well in customer support but laid off in the company's restructuring exercise. Now, he is not getting any calls and hence was quite depressed. I explained to him about so many career choices available these days. Those like video editors, YouTubers, internet marketers, and so, asked him to pick some new skills on the technical and mindset front. He didn't seem excited and went on ranting about all the problems in life, blaming his parents and everyone around him. I just kept quiet, listened to him, and finally said, "do let me know if I can be of help".  This incident reminded me of the man's lovely story in a remote town. I love it because it's the story of your life. And mine. And everyone else's. It seems the man was an honest, hard-working who never hurt a fly.  Pleased with his excellent work, a fairy magically appeared before him an...

A guy from Bihar goes to Tamilnadu. And he went to a roadside restaurant and said, "I'm hungry, and what do you have that will satiate my hunger?". And the restaurant fellow said, "I have masala Vada, and it'll satiate your hunger.". And the guy asked, "What is the cost of the masala Vada which will satiate my hunger?" and he said, "Five rupees.". The guy had the first Vada, but he was still hungry, he had the second Vada, but was still hungry, third Vada, fourth Vada, fifth Vada, sixth Vada, he was still hungry. Finally, when he had the seventh Vada, his hunger was satiated. The guy went towards the billing counter, the bearer from inside screamed thirty-five rupees, but this guy took a five-rupee coin and kept it on the table. The bearer said, "But you had seven Vadas!". The guy said, "My communication was very clear from the beginning. What is the cost of the Vada, which will satiate my hunger, and you said five rupees? ...

How to fix Toxic people from our life?

One day my friend Binny Brown went to the CEO and said, "I'm not interested in coming to the office anymore."  The CEO responded, "But why?" Binny said, "Ah! I see many employees speaking badly about other Employees on back of him/her; Few employees looking at their fellow employees in a wrong way, there are hell lot of things that I can prove you wrong in our Office." Some people do a lot of politics and talk all negative all the time. Few only do gossips all the time. CEO  said, ok, but I have a request to make before you leave. Binny asked, please tell me what I can do for you, sir. CEO said I want you to do this one last thing sincerely. I want you to take a glass of water filled to the brim and walk around the office area three times without spilling a single drop of water on the floor. After that, you may leave the job if you wish to.  As it sounds to you, it sounded weird. However, Binny thought it was just a matter of a few minutes anyway. He t...

Discover Yourself with DISC Personality Types!

Dr. William Moulton Marston was the creator of DISC Theory at Harvard University in the 1920s while doing research for his book The Emotions of Normal People.  He was looking to identify predictable traits and behaviors of everyday people in different environments.  DISC styles are a combination of four behavioral personality types. Your individual personality affects every aspect of your life. That's why one of the best things you can do to grow yourself and others is to understand your personality and what drives you. When you recognize your strengths and limitations, you are able to give your best as you work with people around you, whether they are coworkers, spouse, family, friends, or someone you met at a social gathering. DISC is a powerful and profoundly simple tool for understanding people. Human behavior can be a mystery. At home or in the workplace, behavior and personality are often misunderstood and become areas of stress affecting your work productivity and happi...
